Private mountain bike tours through the jungle to Angkor’s quieter temples
Most of the riding is off-road, with very little time spent on busy roads.
Every tour is private. I guide each ride myself and adapt the route and pace to your level.
No advanced mountain biking skills required.

EXPERIENCE
The trails between the temples are part of the experience
Forest tracks, narrow paths and open stretches connect the quieter temples, sometimes bringing us in from a completely different direction.
We stop when something is worth seeing, take our time at the temples and sometimes pause for a fresh coconut along the way. When the trail itself is the best part, we keep riding.
Sometimes we arrive at a temple with almost nobody else around.
“The perfect balance between beautiful temples where we were completely alone and a fun bike track in the rainforest.”

LEVEL & FLEXIBILITY
How challenging is the ride?
You should be comfortable riding a bicycle. From there, I adapt the route and pace to suit you. The mountain bikes are set up for a full day out, with comfortable saddles rather than narrow performance saddles.
If you want a more physical ride, we can make it one. If you prefer to take your time, we do. And if a section doesn’t suit you, we change it.
If someone wants to stop before the others, that’s fine too. The tuk-tuk can take them back while the rest of the group continues riding.
Electric mountain bikes are also available if you’d like some assistance during the ride.
“Our group had a variety of biking abilities and Thierry managed the range of abilities very well.”

YOUR GUIDE
I’m Thierry. I’ll be riding with you
I’ve been exploring Angkor by mountain bike since 2011.
Guiding isn’t my main occupation, but I enjoy meeting people and showing them the quieter trails and approaches I’ve discovered around Angkor.
Rather than follow the same route every day, I adapt each ride to the people I’m with.
I share what I know and answer questions along the way, but I also know when to stop talking and let you enjoy the place.
“Thierry is a lovely guy – good fun, knowledgeable and super relaxed.”

PRACTICAL DETAILS
A few things to know before we ride
Schedule
Most tours start around 8:00, but there’s no fixed schedule you have to follow. Because the tour is private, we can start earlier or later and adjust the day to you. We usually finish sometime between 2:00 and 5:00 pm, depending on how much you feel like riding.
What to bring
Come light, with comfortable clothes and good shoes. I carry water, snacks and the practical essentials. Women should bring something light to cover shoulders and knees for temple visits.
Angkor Pass
The Angkor Pass is not included in the tour price.
You can buy it online in advance and use the digital pass directly from your phone, or buy it in person at the Angkor Enterprise Ticket Office.

Cancellation & weather
No advance payment is normally required. I reconfirm the bikes, transport and other logistics on the morning of the tour. You can cancel without charge until then; after reconfirmation, I only ask you to cover any costs already committed for your booking.
Tours usually go ahead in rainy weather. If conditions make riding unsafe, I’ll contact you and we’ll decide on the best option.
